As a nation we are possibly more security conscious about our cars than we are about our houses. The majority of us wouldn’t even dream of leaving our cars unlocked when we pop into a shop, even when we are parked directly outside it. Equally, most of us would not even think about locking our houses when we were outside in the greenhouse, for instance. It is logical really, after all a professional thief will have bought and practiced on virtually everything on the market that relates to car safety.
